In 1950, Clinton M. Black began building homes in the Concord, North Carolina region with a dedication to quality work and traditional business values. He believed strongly that jobs center on handshakes and hard work and realized the importance that each home he built meant to those who would live there.

Today, it’s his sons, Emmitt and Clinton II who carry on the legacy. CM Black has changed greatly in some ways— No longer focused on residential projects, we have grown to be one of the most sought-after companies in the region for commercial, industrial and institutional construction.

But it’s the things that have not changed that have brought continued success and growth. It’s our commitment to quality and those same traditional business values that have made all the difference to us and our clients. It’s that same commitment to handshakes and hard work.
