Construction has begun on a 50,000-square-foot expansion for Oiles America’s corporate headquarters, located in the International Business Park in Concord. Oiles expects the expansion to add between 15 and 30 jobs to the area, which has the community very excited.
Exterior renovations will include additional truck docks, increased parking capacity, the incorporation of energy-efficiency technology, renovations to warehouse and office space and new research and development facilities. CM Black was also the contractor for the corporation’s first expansion in 2005.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Tuesday, Aug. 14, in which North Carolina Eighth District U.S. Rep. Larry Kissell spoke, stating that, “this investment will benefit our region immensely.” The expansion project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2013.
